Award-winning journalist and broadcaster Carolyn Hitt combines wit, warmth and a way with words. She has written and presented television and radio series on the arts, popular culture, consumer issues, history and sport for Radio 4, BBC Radio Wales and ITV Wales.

Her recent broadcasting projects have ranged from Family Detectives, the popular ITV family history series to Gareth@60, a BBC documentary on rugby legend Gareth Edwards. She is also in demand as a media pundit on a wide variety of subjects, from current affairs to literature and as a producer has worked with some of Wales’s most well-known personalities
A former Welsh Feature Writer of the Year and Features Editor of the Western Mail, Carolyn is one of Wales's most popular newspaper and magazine columnists. An avid rugby fan, she was the first woman to win Welsh Sports Journalist of the Year and went on to win the award for the whole of the UK with a portfolio described as “outstanding” by the judges. She is one of the featured authors in Sport: A Literary Anthology, a new collection of writing in the prestigious Library of Wales series. |

An experienced compere, interviewer and public speaker, Carolyn has chaired debates and spoken at a number of high profile events, including the Hay Festival, Baylit, The Welsh Book of the Year and The Welsh Sports Hall of Fame. She has hosted functions as diverse as classical concerts and rugby dinners and delighted audiences with anecdotal speeches at events large and small, from local history societies and writers’ circles to Superwoman, the business networking organisation.
