Chris Moore

Chris, who was born in the Rhondda, is currently celebrating his twenty-first year in commercial radio.

Chris’ radio career began the week before ‘Live Aid’ in 1985 and has not stopped since. Starting in the early days of Red Dragon Radio he put in long hours at weekends and nights to learn the ropes. Long stints on the ‘Breakfast’; ‘Mid-morning’ and ‘Drive Time’shows followed.

Chris became Head of Music and Deputy Programme Controller for Red Dragon and its sister station Touch Radio. In 1996 he moved across to Touch Radio as Head of Presentation and was part of the team that made Touch one of the U.K’s most successful AM stations with nearly 200,000 listeners a week in the late 90’s.

Success followed success and he then moved onto the mid-morning show with Capital Gold when it started.

In 1999 Chris got involved with the Guardian Media Group and was part of the launch team of Real Radio in 2000.

Chris is currently Head of Presentation at Real Radio and will soon celebrate six years on the daily 10am-2pm show, where he remains a firm favourite with listeners. He has also been involved in the development and output of GMG’s digital radio services. He is also an EMAP and GMG Radio award winner and an NTL radio awards nominee.

In 21 years Chris has done most things from hosting sell-out cabaret weekends to compering high profile events and corporate engagements. He also writes weekly for the South Wales Argus.
