BBC Broadcaster, Claire Summers
Claire is a familiar face on BBC Wales'  flagship news programme, ‘Wales Today’. Claire enjoys a much varied role on the programme from anchoring the main slot to doing a whole range of live broadcasts from out and about. Claire also presents 2W news and sport. With her easy going personality and highly tuned sense of humour, Claire is extremely popular with viewers and colleagues alike.

Claire is passionate about news, and enjoys the challenge of a hard story but at the same time has a lighter touch. She has anchored the programme from the National Eisteddfod and Royal Welsh Show for the past few years.

Claire is also a very keen sports fan and often covers the Sports Correspondent slot.

 

Claire Summers
 

Claire was brought up in Cowbridge and went to school in Cardiff. She was educated at Aberystwyth University and, after completing a post-graduate in journalism, her first job was at Channel One Television in Bristol, where she was reporting, filming, editing and presenting in the first week.

BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year for 2W

Claire is much in demand for public appearances, hosting high profile award ceremonies, conferences etc.  Wherever she appears she delights audiences and organisers alike.
