Ryan Jones

Ryan Jones is a former professional Rugby player who has played for both Wales and the British and Irish Lions. In his fifteen-year-long career, he won four 6 Nations titles along the way to gaining 75 International Rugby Union caps, a record of 33 of those as Captain. Notably, Ryan is only one of seven Welsh players to win 3 Grand Slam titles. In November 2008, Ryan Jones and Shane Williams became the first Welsh players to be nominated in a group of five players for the IRB International Player of the Year award. He held the record as Wales most capped captain by overtaking the record of 28 caps held by Ieuan Evans, his record of 33 caps as captain was surpassed by Sam Warburton in 2015.

Ryan is passionate about people, their potential, the environments in which people thrive and, all importantly, how we interact to ensure we get the best individual and collective performance. Having experienced both the personal and team highs and lows of performance sport, he has an excellent understanding of team culture, leadership and maximising human performance. Post-rugby life for Ryan has seen him take to the Executive Boardroom, working for the WRU, Sport Wales, Hugh James and, most recently, with Adrian Moorhouse's brain child, Lane 4, now part of the global EY group.

Ryan’s inspiring and engaging on and off field stories, not only give an insight into what he believes it takes to be a great leader, team-mate and team, but leave you with some simple, relatable, "work-on's" for action. He is an experienced event host and compere, key-note and after dinner speaker, making him the perfect choice for any setting and audience. Ryan's story begin's and ends with "being the best at everything that requires no talent".....
