Jayne Case is BBC Wales' longest serving newsreader. She began her BBC career in Personnel, and then moved to Sport production, finally ending up in the Newsroom where she has read the news bulletins for the last twenty one years. Known to thousands as the face of Breakfast Television, Jayne has regularly stepped in for main presenters, Jamie Owen and Sara Edwards reading the BBC's flagship programme "Wales Today".
As well as her work spanning two decades with Television News, Jayne is a highly popular after dinner speaker and her speech entitled "A Day in the life of a Newsreader" is much acclaimed.
She has compered numerous Musical Events and Gala Evenings for many organisations and charities and has also been involved with events for South Wales Police; School’s Competitions; Rotary; Magistraties; W.Is. etc. She has also compered and modelled at many Fashion Events across Wales. |
