Carla Maney

Carla Maney was born in Northern Ireland, studied classical singing at Trinity College of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music.

Carla made her debut under the direction of the renowned Director Jonathan Miller and has sung as a Soloist and Ensemble member in “Opera”. She has performed Oratorio, Concert with some of the leading Orchestras and Choirs, the Halle Orchestra, the Ulster Orchestra, the RTE Symphony Orchestra included; she has worked with the ROH, ENO, Raymond Gubbay Opera, Opera Northern Ireland, Wexford Festival Opera, Broomhill Opera, London City Opera, Holland Park Opera, Buxton Festival Opera, Opera on a Shoestring, European Chamber Opera, First Act Opera and over the last nine years with the Carl Rosa Opera company touring America, Canada, Italy and the UK.

Carla has also performed in variety and light entertainment, in musical reviews, tribute shows and musical dance reviews which toured theatres in the UK. Carla has broadcast on Television and Radio for the BBC, RTE, UTV, Tyne TV, BBC Wales and Northern Ireland. Carla is also a regular performer for the entertainment company Waxing Lyrical.

Handel’s Messiah, Saul, Acis and Galatea, Samson, The Mozart Masses and Requiem, Bach Cantatas, Brahms Requiem, Orf’s Carmina Burana, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Rossini’s Petit Messe Solenelle and Stabat Mater and other works by Rutter, Honegger, Beethoven and Haydn. Choirs performed with include The Halle, The Chester Back choir, The LSA Choral Society, The Lancaster Singers, The Jubilate Choir, Oldham Choral Society, Swansea Bach choir, The Academy of St Nicholas and The Halifax choral Society. Carla was also soloist for the BFYC (British Federation of Young choirs) and BT’s Voices of the Hospices (Broadcast worldwide on BBC Radio 2) Performing Handel’s Messiah.
