Andrew Price returns for a third series of Coast and Country

Swansea born Survival and Bushcraft expert, Andrew Price, has been filming all over Wales for the new series of his programme 'Coast and Country. This is ITV Cymru Wales' weekly venture into the great outdoors and is full of fresh air, glorious landscapes and compelling stories celebrating the very best of the Welsh coast and countryside. The series is aired every Friday on ITV Wales at 8.00 pm commencing on the 31st October.

Andrew's love and appreciation of the scenic beauty of Wales has built up over the years but he feels we owe it to future generations to impress upon them the stunning country we call home. Andrew will introduce an evolving series of strands stretching from Anglesey to Abergavenny and Pembrokeshire to Prestatyn. Each week, Andrew will be joined by some familiar faces.

Andrew has appeared on many television and radio programmes both as a survival and bushcraft expert and also as a forager - gathering food from the wild to be cooked on air.

Andrew's interest in all things outdoors started at the tender age of five, when his grandfather showed him how to collect periwinkles and mussels from the rock pools close to Mumbles. His father used to take him fishing off the Gower Coast for mackerel and sea bass from an ancient and slightly leaky Canvas and Wood Kayak. Those early experiences sowed the seed of his enthusiasm for wilderness living skills and outdoor pursuits. which led to him setting up an Outdoor Pursuits Centre which he has run for over twenty years teaching activities such as Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Gorge Walking, Coasteering, Surfing, Kayaking and Canoeing, as well as Hiking, Camping and of course Bushcraft and Survival Skills. He is considered one of the UK's leading authorities on the subject of Bushcraft and Wilderness living and one of the rising stars on the UK Survival scene.

Andrew has travelled the world studying traditional and primitive lifestyles. Whilstparticipating in a Raleigh International Expedition to Malaysia, he became involved with several projects including the establishment of an Agro Forestry Farm Project in Sabah Borneo. This project was intended to demonstrate sustainable farming methods in areas where "Slash and Burn" were the traditional approach to land management. Andrew is still very interested in sustainable farming methods and permaculture.

Andrew is the presenter and technical consultant of the online Bushcraft and Survival Skills series 'The A-Z of Bushcraft'. This series has been running for over 4 years and has built up a strong following throughout the world .
