Gwenyth trained at Rose Bruford in London and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She was a member of the BBC Repertory Company and was quickly immersed in all the classics from Ibsen to Shakespeare and the Welsh classics such as Saunders Lewis.
Early work such as David Jones's 'In Parenthesis' for the Third programme included, importantly, two parts in the original Douglas Cleverdon production of Dylan Thomas's 'Under Milk Wood' with Richard Burton. Gwenyth went on to perform Under Milk Wood with the cast at the Globe Theatre in London.
Gwenyth was a well known broadcaster for very many years – recording at BBC in Swansea regularly with Dylan Thomas.
Gwenyth's film work has included 'David' (which was screened recently at the London Film Festival), 'Theory of Flight' with Kenneth Branagh; 'The Dark' with Maria Bello and Sean Bean - and 'Very Annie Mary' with Kenneth Griffith.
Television credits include (in Welsh) 'Y Teulu' and in English - 'Mortimer's Law' for BBC One network, in which Gwenyth enjoyed playing the redoubtable Mrs. Morgan! Her latest television acting role for BBC was in 'Framed' with Margaret John and Trevor Eve.
