Kevin Johns, who has a highly successful daily radio programme and also presents the Christian music show, 'Heart and Soul', is one of Wales' most popular entertainment personalities. He is constantly in demand as a speaker; actor; host; facilitator; comedian; compere – the list could go on and on.
Whilst Kevin is recognised as one of Wales' most popular entertainment personalities, he originally trained at London Bible College for the Christian Ministry and spent time as an ordained minister in Liverpool. Birkenhead, Colwyn Bay and his home city of Swansea before returning to the theatre and radio.
Kevin received high acclaim for his recent performance as Will Hay in the highly successful Mal Pope Musical 'Amazing Grace' which has been described as 'stunning creative and spiritual impact of Amazing Grace and its lucid account of the story of Evan Roberts and the Welsh Revival of 1904. Set against the background of mining disasters and union unrest, the story begins with Evan Roberts meeting with God in his bedroom. From there he takes the message of love and repentance first to his chapel and then throughout Wales and beyond.'
He has since also performed as 'Vicar Joe' in the highly acclaimed Fluellen Theatre production of the new comedy 'Toshack or Me'. Whilst on the subject of football, he continues to entertain Swansea City Centre Fans during half time at the Liberty Stadium and has also become a familiar sight on the pitch at Wales' football matches entertaining fans at the Millennium Stadium and at Wembley Finals.
In complete contrast, Kevin was, once again, back at the Grand Theatre in Swansea playing Widow Twanky in Aladdin. This is his 9th season at the Grand.
This multi-talented entertainer has also appeared in the musical tribute show, 'The Westenders' and surprised everyone by playing Micho in the Ballet Russe production of La Fille Mal Gardee also at the Grand Theatre.
Kevin also regularly appears with the National Chamber Orchestra of Wales and continues to tour with his one man Gospel Comedy show, 'Comic Belief'. Amongst his television appearances are the BBC Wales' show 'High Hopes' and 'Songs of Praise' and the HTV Wales show 'The Market'. Last year he was heard narrating the 4 part BBC 2W series, 'The Demolition Men'
Now one of the country's most prolific performers, he continues to be filled with a passion to present the contemporary relevance of Christianity.
Kev has also surprised everyone with his recent fitness campaign, losing over 4 stone in weight and has just completed his first 10k run and the 29 miles South Wales Bike Ride.
