Michelle has been presenting since she was 16, when she started making record reviews, upon going to University became heavily involved with University Radio. It was here her passion for broadcasting blossomed and she was soon broadcasting on community radio Afan FM-now XS - which she still does today.

Alongside the University Radio, Michelle worked hard to gain all the work experience possible, with local newspapers and magazines and, in the summer of her 2nd year she spent time at ITV Wales News, SKY and Absolute Radio. These were fantastic hands-on placements which gave her grounding in the industry.

Michelle now works at ITV Wales freelance on the news gathering and sport.

At the end of summer 2010 Michelle was pleased to find out she was selected as winner of the 20 and over category for 'Be The Presenter' of Skills Cymru - a 4 day careers and skills event in the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. She presented for the whole event with an online TV company with the videos distributed across the web and on big screens in the stadium.

She now presents Saturday and Sunday 10-2 at Nation Radio and also does cover work for other presenters.

Michelle graduated from Swansea University with a 2.1 Ba Hons in English Language and Communication. She has also done voice over work, presenting on TV and radio and presenting ceremonies.

Michelle now presents NME Radios flagship music show, Monday to Thursday Evening 6-10pm. Additionally you can hear her on various stations across South Wales presenting traffic updates.

Michelle Owen definitely has the talent to become a household name in the future.
