Owain Williams trained at the National Youth Theatre of Wales & Royal Academy of Music, London.
Owain, originally from Carmarthen, gained a law degree from Warwick University before graduating from the RAM with distinction. He was also awarded a DipRAM for outstanding public performance, as well as the Toni V. Fell Prize for speech and song, awarded to him by Joel Fram and Ben Whiteley.
For Cameron Mackintosh: The Phantom of the Opera (ensemble/understudying and playing the role of Raoul), 25th Anniversary Production of Les Misérables (Feuilly/understudying and playing Enjolras and Marius). Other theatre credits include Tony in West Side Story (RSC's Courtyard Theatre), Man 2 in Putting It Together (Edinburgh Fringe), Man 1 in Songs for a New World (Edinburgh Fringe), and most recently the title role in First Family Entertainment's Dick Whittington with Barbara Windsor at the Bristol Hippodrome. Owain has also appeared as a pop artist on S4C's Popty, and as a guest presenter for S4C's coverage of the National Eisteddfod.
Owain can be heard on the Les Misérables Live! - Dream the Dream recording (Feuilly), and can be seen on the Les Misérables In Concert at the O2 - The 25th Anniversary DVD (Feuilly) and on the T-Mobile 'Welcome Home' commercials filmed at Heathrow Airport.
