Rachel Williams

Rachel Williams studied at the renowned Arts Educational School, Tring Park, where she was awarded the Art Cup, the Choreography and Eurovision Cups as House Captain and the Stage Cup following in the footsteps of former pupil Julie Andrews.

After a chance audition at the world famous Lido during a week-end in Paris, Rachel was accepted 'on the spot' as a Bluebell Girl.  Rachel went on to become Principal at the Moulin Rouge dancing alongside such Hollywood legends as Donald O'Connor and Shirley Maclaine at 'The Centenary of the Moulin Rouge Gala' and appearing at DisneyWorld's 20th Anniversary Gala.

Whilst in Paris Rachel caught the attention of the BBC and was thrilled to film the Noble Guide to Paris with non-other than Roy Noble.

Swapping bijoux for claws Rachel joined Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's long running production of CATS, both on the 1st UK National tour and in the West End playing Cassandra and Bombalurina.

Having fulfilled her dreams of dancing in Paris and performing in West-End Musical Theatre Rachel followed her heart once again this time to Hollywood. There she worked with the film director Garry Marshall ('Pretty Woman', 'Princess Diaires') with Musical Director David T Francis ('Dogs' the New York hit musical), Greg Schreiner in the show 'Hollywood Revisited', and with Choreographer Billy Goodson (Michael Jackson's 'Beat It' video) she was also the voice of the BMW TV commercials and went on to work the comedy and cabaret circuit in LA and Vegas thrilling crowds with a series of successful one woman shows performing at such legendary venues as the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, The Gardenia Supper Club, the Sunset Rooms and the Comedy Store.

A first class singer and performer Rachel has also turned her hand to directing and producing.  Rachel's proudest productions are her three children, Amelia, Isobel and Daniel. This multi talented 'all round' personality and entertainer Rachel has been thoroughly enjoying sharing her beautifully woven tales of her Dancer's Life to spellbound crowds on the Speaker's Circuit.

 

"Rachel Williams Live" - Cabaret Show.

Rachel Williams takes audiences on a kaleidoscopic journey through her life. Encompassing a musical melee of the 1920's songs of Miss Josephine Baker, Musical Theatre, American Vaudeville and comedic-character songs from Operetta and Musical Revues.

Rachel draws on 25 years of theatrical experience having trod the boards in Paris' world famous Lido and Moulin Rouge, London's West-End and the Los Angeles and Las Vegas comedy and cabaret circuit. Rachel has amassed her catalogue of stories and songs having been inspired by the people and experiences she's met along the way.

An entertainer first and foremost, Rachel has been consistently referred to as a modern day Joyce Grenfell.

Rachel Williams' ever popular show has been modified to complement musical theatre stages, cabaret venues, cozy musical soirees and on the 'Speakers Circuit', going solo, with a multi talented pianist from the RWCMD and his three piece band.

Rachel has articulately woven her material into a 60 minute musical set, which can be extended to 90 minutes including her Speakers Circuit talks.
