Mad about music, Sue worked for BBC Radio 1 and 2 in London, as a Music Journalist for 'Newsbeat' and 'Steve Wright in the Afternoon'.

Sue Charles reported from the Q Awards, Mercury Music prize, Top of the Pops, and interviewed some of the biggest names in music. Sue's easy-going style helped to bring exclusives from the likes of Bryan Ferry, Manic Street Preachers and Kylie Minogue for listeners of Radio 1, 2 and 5 Live.

Sue has also worked on promotional events for the BBC, providing Children in Need updates for BBC Radio Wales and showing young people how to prepare and present weather forecasts, at BBC roadshows and the Royal Welsh Show.

A graduate of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, Sue began her career in broadcasting, in local radio. She worked at Wyvern, Maldwyn and Sunshine, before gaining a BBC scholarship and postgraduate diploma at the Centre for Journalism Studies in Cardiff.

Originally from Llandrindod Wells, Sue also loves football, skiing, running, and sparring with her boxercise and tennis partner, Derek Brockway!

Sue has worked with the Royal Television Society, supports many charities in her native mid Wales and a number of animal welfare charities.

Sue has appeared at high profile events across Wales and is calm and collected under pressure - largely thanks to her experience of live broadcasting on BBC TV and radio!
